Quick Summary

The OBSBOT Meet 2 is one of the best midrange webcams on the market. It’s basically the Tiny 2 Lite without the gimbal. It records 4K footage in both the portrait and landscape orientation. It has a minimalist tiny design and it has a magnetic privacy cover.

  • Sensor size: 1/2 inch.

  • Aperture f/1.9.

  • Built-in microphone ✅

  • Privacy shutter: magnetic.

  • Tripod threading ✅

Image Quality

The Meet 2 has adequate, but not amazing sharpness. I found my skin tone to look natural, but there was a slight bit of struggle getting the RGB light in my background to look right. There’s a moderate amount of grain, but it’s nothing terribly distracting.

In daylight only with fully automatic settings, this webcam is great at auto exposure. There’s an HDR effect that can be enabled in software, but it can’t fix a poor lighting environment where you’re lit from the back. Just make sure the daylight (or your other brightest light) is in front of you.

4K 30 FPS. Daylight only, fully automatic settings.

The autofocus is super quick. Not quite as rapid as the EMEET SmartCam S800, but it never pulsed.

Microphone Demonstration

There are multiple noise reduction filter modes. For a webcam mic, this is passable, but it’s nothing extraordinary.

Software

The OBSBOT Center software has a plethora of features and also retains all the basic settings any webcam needs. Shutter speed, ISO, HDR, all that stuff is present.

The settings save to the webcam itself and persist beyond a reboot. You can also change the settings while the webcam is active in another software like OBS as long as the preview window is closed in OBSBOT Center.

Build

The Meet 2 is made of a combination of plastic and metal. There is magnetism the bottom and side so you can snap it to the monitor mount vertically or horizontally. The privacy cover snaps on magnetically also. Tripod threading is also on the webcam itself.

The wire is way too short at 60 inches, but other than that I don’t have any major complaints.

Verdict

I recommend the Meet 2 for anyone looking for a 4K webcam under $150. Great image quality, innovative build, and nice features.

BadIntent

I’m a longtime tournament competitor. I’ve won multiple regional championships for games such as Pokémon and Samurai Shodown. I buy and review all the products displayed on this site. No brand deals. No shilling.
