Quick Summary
Both IEMs have a 4-foot detachable cable. Both have a cable cinch, but no buttons or microphone (at least not the versions I got). They come with several different eartips of varying sizes and color so you can get the perfect fit. Aside from the different colors and transparency, the design is pretty much the same.
However, the wire of the Zero:2 has a slightly different texture. In his video, Crinacle says the pin connector is tighter which is supposed to help the durability. However, in my experience the right earbud of the Zero:2 actually started to die on me after a few months even with careful use. They are cheap enough to replace, but this is a pretty common thing on Reddit to see, so do be aware of that.
Sound Quality
While the Zero seems to attempt to stick to the Harman Target as much as possible, the Zero:2 dips the upper midrange and treble down a bit in favor of bass. I enjoy this sound a lot more, however the bass doesn’t really hit as hard as I’d hoped.
Still, unless you’re an extreme basshead like me, these will be plenty for the overwhelming majority of users without sounding muffed.
The clarity on both IEMs is excellent. I prefer the out the box sound of the original Zero for FPS games, but for everything else, I’m going with the Zero:2.
